Integrated management of packet routing and radio aid operating modes in heterogeneous data network
Abstract
The problem of managing packet routing in data network is examined where packet radio communication networks with automatically controlled radio aids operating modes are used as chunks. The basic difference between these problems and conventional problem statement is the need to consider here the possibility of routing (rerouting) that can be implemented while operating radio aids in various modes, which define both offset path for data transmission and data routing speed towards this path. The research relevance in this direction is conditioned, on the one hand, by the possibility of integrating routing control at up-to-date level of control automation for radio aid operating modes and, on the other hand, by the need and the ability to improve thereupon the communication system efficiency. Formalized model is constructed describing the set of flow distributions feasible within the limits due to the network physical structure and radio aid technical capability, and this model is based on the above conceptual description of data network operation. The technique was developed to optimize integrated management of packet routing and radio aid operating modes, and there was proposed the algorithm to find optimum flow distribution based on the probability index of timely delivery of messages and the example demonstrating its operation is given. The estimation of the gain ensured by the integrated optimization of the routing table system coupled with assignment of radio aid operating modes is presented.
